Tarot card spreads are the way we lay out the cards to do Tarot readings. Each spread is for a different purpose.  The spread can be a simple three card spread to go over your past, present, and future.  Or it can be as complicated as having twenty cards, and include your feelings, rivalries, disputes, and other outside factors.

Reading a tarot spread is like reading a story. The important part to remember in all of this is that the result is not permanent. You can choose your own fate. Since the cards are giving you only one outcome you can make the choice to do something else and have a different outcome from the one provided. Just remember your choices have consequences as well and if you change something your outcome does change whether it is for the better or worse is for you to find out.

Three Card Tarot Spread

This is the simplest spread.  You shuffle your cards thinking of your question the entire time.  You will pick three cards that will tell the past, present, and future of your query. This is a good spread to start with doing yourself daily.

If you are doing this spread with another person, they will be the person shuffling the cards and thinking about what they want to know.  They will also be picking the three cards out of the deck.

Another way of looking at this spread is where you stand now with a present difficulty, how you can get what you want, and what may stop you or help you get it.
